Historic Boulder City

Just walking distance from the Sands Motel is the Historic Boulder City’s main strip. The city was established in the 1930’s as home to many of the Hoover Dam workers. Over 400 of the original structures are still there for our guests to explore. Many buildings have also been returned to their original architectural style.

Historic Boulder City has numerous restaurants, shops and art galleries. Bicentennial Park, in the heart of Historic Boulder City, has been around since the construction days of the dam. Life size sculptures depicting the life of the 1930’s dam workers decorate the streets adding charm and nostalgia.
